Frequently Asked Questions

What is CBD?

So, CBD is short for cannabidiol which is just one of many components known as cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant.  Unlike another famous cannabinoid, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), CBD will not get you high and is not addictive – the World Health Organisation says it “does not appear to have abuse potential or cause harm.”

What do cannabinoids do?

Cannabinoids such as CBD play a key role in what is known as your body’s endocannabinoid system (ECS) which research has shown can have an effect on things like sleep, mood, appetite and memory.  Endocannabinoids are cannabinoids made by your body whereas phytocannabinoids such as cannabidiol are made by plants.
